WANGANUI HOSPITAL.
J ♦ f The plans for the additions to the HospitaL, prepared by Mr J. B-. Wright, says the Wanganui Herald, show two new wards projecting front, and having an entrance to the main corridor of the present building- Each ward has a floor space of 18ft x 17ft and a height of fourggpi feet to the ceiling. They will be thoroughly ventilated by Archimedean screw ventilators as extractors of foul air, .A. small lobby separates the new wards from the old building. Each ward is provided with a linen closet. The new wards will be a considerable improvement upon those of the old building, inasmuch as they will have the benefit of sunlight nearly all day, being lighted from three sides. It is always gratify, ing to see improvements effected in our public buildings, but there is a general opinion that the money thus spent in additions would have been better cmplpyed had it been directed towards the erection of the new building, which must be taken in hacd sooner or later-
