Moved by Cr Hamilton, second by Cr Morrow. “That the letter dra ted by the Mayor be sent (to Mr Ma sey, also a copy of it to the Mur cipal Association asking the assis ance of the Association |in getting '< amendment ‘to clause 82 of the M. Act, 1920, if necessary, and also th the Takapuna Borough’ Council be { so approached on the matter.” —Ca ried

Moved by the Mayor, seconded l Cr Hamilton. “That in the event < an appeal being lodged Mr T 1 Martin be asked to represent *tl Council if the case is heard in Wei ington.”—Carried. We understand that application hj been made by the Mayor 1 and tl Borough solicitors for an amendmei in the Act to enable a sliding sea of water charges to be made ar this action is being supported by tl Municipal Association and other 1< cal bodies, including at least one Cit Council. f
