Mr omey's visit -to, this /town should re*; suit fin an improvement 4n this garnet r in Pukekohe* He was champion of. N,S,W. in 1918, 1919. 1920, 1921, andiju 1922. He visited Auckland 5 years U ~~ ago and played Mr W. Stevenson- the' r N.Z. champion, a match of 4000 up at. the Auckland Amateur Sports Club. He made two breaks of over-:-200 each and another of 260, and' won by 400 pof'lnjts, Mr Abotomey ' considers his best performance was winning City irattersali’s C*ub tournament at Sydney in 1916, which was a game of 250 up, the limit man being on 160. He was placed 600 behind scratch, which was considered a wood’s record 3n handicaps. He is a cool, steady player,, liable to. make a sensational break.
