Among the passengers for Wellington by the s.s. Marama on Saturday last from San Francisco were Dr Everard O. Rowley, son of Dr Charles Rowley, of Otahuhu. and his wife, Dr Of ad vs M. Row Fey. Dr and Mrs Rowley have been in America for the last three years, holding various hospital appointments in California. They were for some time at Janeau, in Alaska. They are now paying a visit to Mr G. Rowley’s parents in Dunedin. It is Dr and Mrs G. O. Rowley’s intention to practice iin Auckland. In our 'last issue mention was made ; that at recent poultry shows birds owned bv Mr E. L. Curnow, of Pukekohe, were prjze winners. At .the Ngaruawab/ia Show' this fancier w r as awarded a special.' prize for the best Wyandotte, out of an entry of 12 excellent birds. He also was awarded first prize for White Wlandofte cockerel. At the Onehunga. Show Mr Curnow was awarded two firsts for Brown Leghorn hen and White Wyandotte cockerel.
