FRANKLIN RAGING CLUB. SECOND ANNUAL MEETING. ,TO-MORROW (SATURDAY). The Franklin Racing - Club’s second annual non-totalisator race meetingwill >take place on the club’s course, Pukekohe, to-morrow, Saturday. It will be recollected that last year when tne first annual meeting - was held very inclement weather l was experienced, and as a result the club suffered a severe financial loss. However, in spite of the set-back the club ciecided to hold another meeting this year, and |thc executive is to be con giiakulated on the sfand it has taken. To-morrow is the day of the meeting, and the only item which is necessary now to make the meeting a huge success is a fine day, as record acceptances have been received. Apart from the splendid acceptances there is a fairly good class of horses competing and some good racing is assured. The Municipal Band will enliven proceedings with an excellent programme of music. Public support is solicited, and given fine w r eather a good day’s outing is assured. Refreshments can be obtained on the ground. Elaborate arrangements are complete, and proceedings should run without the silghtest hitch. The first race starts at 1 p.m. ACCEPTANCES.
