PLUNKET STREET STALL.

The vacant section opposite the Bank of New Zealand presented quite a busy appearance last Friday morning. Various stalls had been erected, which were loaded wfcth tempting goods. These found a ready sale through the day, and by night-fall everything perishable had been disposed of. The committee are very satisfied with the day’s takings. The following were in charge of the stalls General stall, Mesdames Wylie, McArthur, J. G. Russell and Wilkinson, .and Misses Wylie ; strawberries and cream, Mesdames Jack Russell, iWdy, Cronin, Curd and W. Wilkinson; ice creams, Mrs Campbell-Smith; cakes, Mesdames 1 Waters, Cooper, Hewitt, Littlejohn and Meiklejohn ; sweets, Mesdames Jones, Day and Allen; surprise packets, Mesdames Perkins, Ward, Roberts and Miss Brightwell.
