ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.

EXTENSIVE ALTERATIONS, At Thursday’s meeting of the j Franklin County Council, the North i Island Representation Commission ! forwarded a'copy of the N,Z. Gazette containnig the new electoral district boundaries. There are some extensive alterations. Franklin Electorate. Under the alterations in the ooundary the Franklin District now comprises the Boroughs of Ofahuhu and J Pukelcohe, the Town Districts of Pr.- ' patoetoe, Manurewa, and Papakura, ithe whole of the Papakoetoe, Papa- | cura, Pakuranga and Turanga Ridings of Manukau County, that portion of the Wairoa Riding of the said'! Manuj kau County Council lying to the west of the Wairoa River from the southern boundary of the aforesaid Manukau County to the road intersecting Section 20, Wairoa Parish,, and formnig the western boundary of! Sections 44, 45, and 46 of the said Wairoa Palish to its intersection with the wesI tern boundary of the aforesaid, Wairoa Riding; also the whole of the 'Awhitu, Mauku, and Karaka Ridings of Franklin County and that portion j ;-f the Pukekohe West Riding of the 1 Laid Franklin County lying to the | north and east of the Waiuku road j from Ithe south-western corner of Section 15,®Bloclc XIV., Drury Survey District, to ,;its intersection with he western boundary of Pukekone Bor--1 )ugh ; also that portion of the Puke- | kohe Eatft Riding of the aforesaid j Frank] in County lying to the north ! of the road intersecing Sections 12, 115, 30 and 26, Blocks XI, XQI, : XV, ! n.nd XVI, of the said Drury) Survey !,District from 'the eastern boundary ’of the aforesaid Borough of Pukekohe |to the eastern boundary of the said Section 26, and eastern boundaries of Sections 7 and 54, Block XII, of the j aforesaid Drury Survey District to | the north-eastern boundary of the | taid Pukekohe Riding; also that portion of the Drury Rising of Frnakjin County lying to the north-west of the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 51, Block XII, Drury Survey District, and passing through Sections 50 and 49 and forming the

and survey district to the south-wes-tern boundary of the Hunua Riding of the said Franklin County: also that portion of the Hunua Ruling of the aforesaid Franklin County lying t<> the west of’the IVairoa Rivei from the southern boundary of Manukau

County to the stream forming the southern boundary of Hunua Parish, and by that stream to its junction with the said Hunua Riding. This district now excludes the Waiuku and Tuakau Town Districts. iVlamikau Electorate. Manukau District comprises the whole of Eden County less that portion known as the Auckland Domain, that portion of the ■ Mount Roskill Road District of the sa.idEden County included in the Roskill Electoral District hereinafter described, also the Avondale Road District of the aforesaid Eden County included in the Eden Electoral District hereinafter described, also that portion of the One Tree Road District of the aforesaid Eden County, included in the Parnell Electoral District hereinafter described. This district also includes that portion of the Ellerslie Town District not included in the said Parnell Electoral District, also the whole of the Borough of Qnehunga ancl the wlio.c of Mangere Riding of Manukau County and Weeks’ Island.

Thames Electorate

T'bfmes District comprises the existing Thames Electoral District, together Wiith that portion of the Wairoa Riding of Manukau County, not included in the Franklin Electoral District hereinafter described, also those portions of the Drury and Hunua Ridings of Franklin County not included in the .said Franklin Electoral District.

Raglan Electorate.

Raglan District comprises 'the Borough of Ngaruawahia, the Waiuku, *Ti.iakau, Hu inly ana Raglan Town Districts, the whole of the Waipipi and Waiuku Ridings of Franklin County, also 'those portions of the Pukekohe West and Pukekohe East Ridings of the said Franklin County ’ not included in the Franklin and j Thames Electoral Districts hereinbe- ■ fore described!; «the whole of Raglan ' County, less the Pirongia Riding of the said Raglan County ; the whole of the Newcastle Rifling of VVaipa County ; that porr/<m of the Huntly i Riding of Waikato County included ni the Thames Electoral District herei inbefore described, and that portion cf the Kirikiriroa Riding of the said

Waikalto County bounded towards the souh-west and north-west generally by the aouth-wssceui boundary cf the aforesaid Waikdto County from the road at the southernmost corner of Section 76, Block RII, Newcastle Survey District, to its junction with the north-western boundary of Kirikiroa Riding, thenca towards the noth-west by the boundary of the aforesaid Kirikiroa Ridng to its intersection with.the existing Ohinemuri Electoral District hereinafter described, thence towards the north-east generally ;by the boundary of the said Ohinemuri Electoral District to the road aim the south-eastern boundary

of Lot 5, Fresh field Estate, as shown Isouth-westerly direction generally by on Land Transfer Plan 7136, hence in that road to the southernmos corner of the said seciion 73.
