Lawrie) being presen*, also a fair number of residents. The business was in -connection with the nail extension, and arrangements for a social and dance, which is to be held on November 17,th ait 8 p.m. It was decided to order the timber and iron for ,the necessary alterations. A new tank has been erected, the old one was sold by tender and realised 10s. If possible the alteration work will be commenced before Christmas, owing to the difficulty in getting . ,together a working bee during 'the harvest season. The cost will be, including heater and coat hangers, etc., approximately £4O. Judging by the amount of tickets sold and the interest being taken by the members of the committee, the 17th of November will be a night of nights. Music will be rendered by Mrs Keane, who is always a willing helper. The social programme is left to the care ot Mr Carter..
