CONCERT AT PUNI.

MAGNIFICENT SUCCESS.

PRESENTATION TO MR J. WRIGHT.

On Wednesday evening a vei-y successful concert was given in the Pun! Hall in aid of funds for providing an artificial limb for Mr Joe Wright. The hall jvas packed to the doors and the programme provided was a most brilliant one, there being a number of Auckland and outside talent, in addition to local artists. Mr Robert Fulton occupied the chair, and during the evening presented Mr Wright with the artificial limb, and hoped that he would live to wear twelve of them out. After the concert a supper and dance were provided, and everyone left in the early hours highly pleased with the evening’s entertainment. Among those assisting were the famous Lyric Quartete and Mr Era. Skara, of Auckland, Mr Fred, Baker (baritone), of Cambridge, Mr Moreland, Master Hooper, and others. Each and every one of them was applauded and encored. Seldom has such a fine programme been presented in a country hall, and! the occasion may be stated to be one, of outstanding success. •
