PERSONAL.
At Tuesday’s meeting of the Manukan County Council, a" vote of sympathy with Mr T. J. Corin (chairman of the Manurewa Town Board), in the bereavement sustained in the loss of his wife, was carried in silence. The clerk was instructed to convey the vote of sympathy to Mr Corin. Mr H. A. Coates, of Auckland, was in Pukekohe yesterday. The Lyric Quartette of Auckland, Messrs Ryan, Ripley, Richards and McElwain, assisted at the benefit concert at Puni on Wednesday evening last. Mr E. Sham, also from Auckland, was accompanist. Mr W. D. Dimock, of Palmerston North, anc? of Kiwi bacon fame, was . in Pukekohe yesterday. Mr Fred. Baker, of Cambridge, the well-known baritone singer, was iifc.
Pukekohe yesteirdaj’. He assisted at the concert at Puni on Wednesday evening. Miss Lulu O’Connor left on Tuesdny for Gisborne, where she intends spending a long holiday.
