“WASHING-UP” MEETING.
VOTES OF THANKS. The meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Pukekohe Technical High School on Tuesday being the last of the Advisory Committee (-in future it will be known as the Board of Managers), advantage was taken to express thanks for the work accomplished since the inception of the school. The headmaster (Mr Munro) expressed appreciation of the work done by the committee for tne welfare of the school. The chairman thanked members for the assistance rendered him. He eulogised the work of Mr Munro, who had proved himself to be a zealous officer. He felt that the tone of the school, which had justified its existence, was due to the ability of the headmaster. Mr Wyatt endorsed the chairman s remarks’ adding that a good deal of the school’s progress was due to the selection of Mr Munro as headmaster. Mr Patterson said they all appreciated the work of the headmaster, all of which had been accomplished for the welfare of the school. He moved that the committee convey its appreciation of his able work to the Board of Education. Mr Wyatt seconded. Mr J. Crosbie endorsed the remarks of other speakers and the matter was carried by acclamation. On the* motion of .Messrs Patterson and Munro,Ait was decided to place on record the committee 3 appreciation of the work done by Mr A. B. Brown, secretary. Mr Brown, in responding, said he had tried to do his little bit and he had been well repaid for his work by the progress of the school. The staff was also thanked for their work. 'Mr Munro said the whole staff had worked well. It had given entire satisfaction, all rendered right royal yeoman service. . The press also received thanks for what it had done for the institution.
