MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
(Before Mr Burton, S.M.) IViAOR! PROHIBITED. At the S.M. Court held at Pukekohe on Wednesday a Maori named William Topu, of Tuakau, was fined 5s and costs 17s and prohibited for 12 months for being found drunk in George Street, Tuakau, on August 6. CIVIL CASES. The Franklin County Council sued quite a bunch of ratepayers for recovery of rates and the Court made orders in practically every case. CLAIM FOR BOARD-. This was a case in which a man named Flawes (Mr Mahoney) sued a cousin-in-law named Fan-ant (Mr Easley.) for £42 alleged to be due for board. After hearing lengthy evidence, judgment was given for £ls and costs £4 19s,
