PERSONAL.
Prior to the commencement of the ordinary business at the annua! meeting of the Franklin Racing Club, a vote of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr Frank Kavanagh was carried in silence, members standing. In moving the motion, the president (Mr W. Claud Motion) referred to the keen interest taken in sport by the deceased. In spite of his failing health he stuck to his task, and never relinquished his position to the end. He performed many valuable services to the club, which members would never forget, and one and all would regret that he was not with them to carry on the destinies of the club. .
