STRAIN!© PICTURES, SAT UR'DAY WIGHT, “The Desperate Hero” is a rollicking comedy-drama, in which the hero as played by Owen Moore, at the Strand Pictures, starts blithely out to the country in a small motor —his only possession—to escape a tailor creditor. As a. result of his efforts to avert the tailors summons lip finds himself bound into servitude for two weeks to the husband of a former sweetherat. A strange woman claims him for her husband, much to his disgust, and a number of other incidents occur to make him feel the heavy hand of misfortune. Good supports accompany this programme.
