BUCKLAND BEAUTIFYING.
Sir, —Re the forming of a Beautifying Society in Buckiand. Since my last few lines I cannot express things better' than quote Marshal Focfe 7 * words when at one period of the .war things appeared as clear as mud to the civilised world Foch said they were developing lovely. So they are in Buckiand, a working bee having got busy and painted the Anglican Church and cleaned up the grounds. Now it is a pleasure to know you can go to church without having holes’' torn in your stockings with blackberries In fact they made it look so tempting that before they had quite . finished painting two of our most esteemed young folk could not resist the temptation and were married. And it only goes to show what bq&aty and charm our little township Would, possess if everyone would just- only help a little bit. And now, Mr Editor, I wish to thank Mr Allen £or replying to my previous letter and tafTassure him that he could not whistle "; me a prettier tune than to ask to lodge my £lO with you. Kindly find same enclosed Trusting Mr Allan will have a heart to heart talk with Mr Ritching and send theirs along to keep mine warm.—l am, etc, MOREPdRK. (Cheque duly received.—Ed. Times).
