SENIOR CADETS MATCH. PUKEKOHE 11 V. WAIUKU 3. Yesterday afternoon a team of footballers representing, the Waiuku senior cadets visited Pukekohe to meet the local boys Recently-Waiuku were defeated by the Otahuhu fifteen. The visitors were heavier than the home team and soon after the commencement they threw the ball about to some tune and matters looked gloomy for the home team. However the Pukekohe boys put some “ginger” into the play and from a loose for-' ward rush Guerney got over. The kick failed and shortly after Waiuku pressed. Pukekohe were penalised and Mdarrts kicked a splendid goaU making the scores 3 all. From this onward both sides played up and several times each were within an ace of scoring, but over eagerness spoiled many chances. Pukekohe rattled on the pace and Wyatt secured and wriggled his'way over. Smith was equal to the effort and his boot propelled the oval between the uprights: Pukekohe 8, Waiuku 3. The score was unaltered until the final quarter when Woods scored after a nice nippy run. Guerney failed to enhance. Waiuku pressed hard and on one or two occasions had the reds hard pressed. The Waiuku wing three-quarter put in a nice piece of work down the line. He took the oval over the line but a home player beat him for it, and the game ended soon after with the score: Pukekohe 11, Waiuicu 3. Mr F. H. Hewitt refereed.

v Malcolmson,, Woods, Stevens, Wilkinson and Fallowes were the shining lights of the winners, while Guerney, Graham, Smith and Wilson put in some splendid work.
