FRANKLIN RUGBY UNION. ENTRIES CLOSE ON MONDAY. ‘ The annual meeting of the Franklin Rugby Union was held last night, Mr G. T. Proude presiding over a large attendance. It was decided to commence the season on Saturday, April 30. Entries close with the secretary (Mr F. H. Hewitt) on Monday, April 25 at 5 p.m. The draw will take place on Tuesday, April 26. A full reprt of the meeting will appear in Tuesday’s issue. REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION. All football clubs playing under the jurisdiction of the Franklin Rugby Union are requested to submit the names of referees to the Secretary of the Referees’ Association, Mr H. Clark, Pukekohe. at once, in order that appointments can be made for the opening of the season on Saturday, April 30. It is the aim of the association to have referees from each of the affiliated clubs.
