WHAT IS IF FOR? RECREATION OF GRAZING. For some time past a portion of the Domain has been used for the purpose of grazing the Borough Council horses. At Wednesday’s meeting of the Borough Council ? Cr A. P. Daysh slated that he had been approached by a representative of the Hockey Club, asking that the Council clean up the Domain as it was required for hockey purposes. He pointed out that the borough horses were allowed to graze on the hockey area of the Domain and naturally it wanted cleaning up. The Hockey Club paid for the use of the ground and he contended it should be kept in a proper state of repair for the use ’of the hokeyites. Cr Keith asked: “Is it a recreation ground or a grazing ground.” The Mayor: A recreation ground. - Cr, Patterson said, "COUfibti wanted a place to graze their horses. Cr Daysh : Are we going to assist them or use it as a grazing ground? Cr Hamilton moved that the Hockey Club be voted £2 a year to keep the ground clean.—Carried.
