PROSPECT TERRACE.
NORTH END FOOTPATH. TO REMAIN AS AT PRESENT. What is the Works’. Committee’s intention regarding the footpath on the north end of Prospect Ten ace ? asked Cr Patterson at Wednesday’s meeting of the Borough Council. Cr Daysh (chairman of the committee) : No intention at all. Prospect Terrace has had large sums of money spenlt on it. There are more people worse off than the people in Prospect Terrace. If this work is done, I want a road and a footpath to my own place. “Same here,” retorted Cr McGough, who, like Cr Daysh, has not a decent road nor a footpath. “Report that ” exclaimed Cr Patterson. “You can report it if you like” said Cr Daysh. “We cannot be spending money on Prospect Terrace when others are in a worse condition. Cr Patterson stated that a large number of improvements had been made in Prospect Terrace, amounting to £3OOO, and he was sure not £SOO bad been spent on the street. He wanted a path made to allow the residents a't the north end to get out At present they bad no footpath, while the sides of the road were muddy in winter time. He moved that (the Works’ Committee construct the footpath for six chains the full width. The motion lapsed for want of a seconder. “Well ” said Cr Patterson, “T have done all I can.”
