SERIOUS CHARGES
JURY AGAIN DISAGREES When the jury engaged in the second trial of William Thomas Moulin on charge* of attempting to commit, an unnatural offence ou a male and, secondly, with indecently assaulting a male, . returned al six minutes past 5 last evening, it wa* to announce that it had been unable to agree on a verdict. The Crown Prosecutor said that it wa* his duly to apply for an order for a third trial. At the same time, he was also instructed in such cases to ascertain tho view of the presiding judge on the question of a third trial. His Honour said that he proposed to ex. press his view, but not, for obvious reasons, to elaborate his reasons for that view. Ha thought that in this .case the interest* of justice had been sufficiently served by two trials. He would make an order for a third trial on February 2, 19T3, and that would give ample lime for the Crown to consider what course to adopt. The Crown Prosecutor said that he would immediately submit the matter to tho proper authorities to ascertain whether tha Attorney-General would enter a nolle prosequi.
