CHANCES GAZETTED fP.A.I WELLINGTON, October 22. Military appointments gazetted to-nighf include the following Lieutenant-colonel J. T. Burrows, Southern Infantry, is ap. pointed to command a battalion; Major t>, J. Fonntaine, Southern Infantry, is appointed second in command of a battalion; Major C Langbeiu, New Zealand Engineers, is appointed to command an engineer and ordnance training depot ; Mr-or 11. G. Burton Central Infantry, is appointed to command a battalion (temporarily), and is granted the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel.
