WANAKA TOURNEY The Wanaka Golf Club’s annual tournament was commenced on Friday under ideal conditions. The entries are small, but tins is only to be expected owing to the travel, ling restrictions. . In the women’s bogey match, played in the morning, the best cards were: Mrs Duncan-5 down, Mrs-Milne 5 down, Mrs G. Morris 6 down, Mrs Harris 8 down, Mrs Anderson 8 down (all Wanaka players). In the count back over the last nine holes, Mrs Duncan proved the winner. Other results of the day’s play are as follows: — Men’s Bogey Match.—W. Hotop (Cromwell) 1 down, R. W. S. Hotting (Otago) 1 down, F. J. Tempero (Cromwell) 4 down, W. LopdelJ (Clyde) 6 down. In the count back W. Hotop proved the winner. Match which was also plaved were; Miss Manson 105—35—70, Mils Richdaio 91—18—73, Miss Green way 109-36—73. Chisholm Park Ladies’ Club.—The best cards returned in last-week’s L.G.U. Match of the mid-week section were; Mrs Skerrett 99 —29 —70, Mrs J. Gorman 110 —31—79, Mrs gtiven 106—28—78, and Mrs J. Herbert 117 —36—81. The winner of the Grant Trophy was Mrs Wilkinson. To-morrow a Flag Match will bo played on tbe Ocean Beach links starting at 12.30 p.m. Members who did not compete in the Grant Trophy will piay the final of their game.
