DAIRY INDUSTRY
PROVISION OF LABOUR ASSURED (P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 2. The War Cabinet has promised that the services ot 800 men will be madeavailable to the dairying industry .in New Zealand to meet the present shortage of labour Information to this effect was received to-day from the president of the Taranaki Dairying and Farming Industrial Union of Employers, Mr W. E. Scott, who is also a member ot the Dairy Board. Mr Scott made representations to Ministers of the Crown regarding the difficulties of providing labour for dairy factories, and to-day he interviewed the War Cabinet. The Cabinet has promised to make Taranaki’s requirements available immediately, and has promised to arrange for the release from military camps of men for whom applications are made.
