Y.M.C.A. STREET DAY

The annual street day of the Y.M.C.A. will be held to-rnorrow. The boys’ work, in which the association specialises, presents many difficulties to-day which have to bo faced and successfully surmounted. The local building is becoming a great rendezvous for the men from local camps, special dormitories having been set up to accommodate 50 men nightly at a rate within the limits of a soldier's or airman’s pay. Free hot showers and billiards are also provided. Much of the equipment for these services has been provided by the National Patriotic Fund Board and Otago Provincial Council, who realised the need.
