SHARE MARKET. New Zealand Government Stocks remained firm on ’Change this -morning. There was a slight rising tendency in (he banking section, with buyers predominating. £2B 15s was offered for New South Wales, 39s 3d for New Zealand, 30s 6d’ for New Zealand long, and 42s 3d for National of New Zealand In meat preserving, N.Z. Refrig, (paid) were wanted at 21s 3d, while the cont. issue was quoted at 9s 6d buyer, 9s 8d seller. In loan and agency there was a closer market iu National Mortgage, a buyer offering 38s, with a seller Is away. Other values were unchanged. In gas. coal, and oil Westport-Stockton ' (ord.) were quoted at 2s Bd-3s. In the miscellaneous section buyers again predominated, and some issues were quoted at slightly higher rates. Booth, Macdonald (pref.) were wanted at 6s 9d and Colonial Sugar at £4B 15s. A- new buyer appeared, offering 36s 3d for Felt and Textiles. McLeod Bros, had a market with a buyer at £24 15s and a seller at £25 10s. In Australian mining the rising tendency was also noticeable. There were inquiries for Broken Hill at 235, Bulolo at 30s, Electro. Zinc (ord.) at 43s 6d, and North Broken Hill at 435. Mount Lyoll were quoted at 265-275. —Reported Sale.— Consolidated Goldfields, 7s. MINING. Slab Hut Creek Dredge.—The returns for the nine days ended on Saturday last were 520 z from 20,300 yards, in 166 hours.
