PACIFIC COMMISSIONER ACKNOWLEDGES HEW ZEALAND INTEREST U’.A.) WELLINGTON, August 30. The following telegram, addressed to the Prime Minister, has been received by the Acting Prime Minister, Mr Sullivan, from the High Commissioner for Fighting Franco in the Pacific. KearAdmiral d’Argcnlieu, who recently visited the Dominion; — , “ On my departure from New Zealand I wish once more to say how much I have appreciated the welcome that vour Government has given me. The French National Committee will not fail fully to appreciate the Dominion’s recent declaration of its policy towards Fighting France and the nrist friendly words that you. as Prime Minister, have recently expressed. I further wish every success to the armed forces of your noble and beautiful country now engaged in the uorld war.”
