PARACHUTE JUMP

AIRCRAFT IN DIFFICULTIES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 29. An airman under training; at a South Island R.N.Z.A.F. station escaped by parachute when his ’ aircraft got into difficulties near tho aerodrome about noon to-day. He was engaged in solo flying practice and jumped from a height of about 2,000 feet. He suffered a sprained ankle.
