ADVANCE SUBSCRIPTIONS
A MILLION FOR NEW WAR LOAN (F.A.) WELLINGTON, August 25. The Reserve Hank announced to-day that since August 10 over £1,000,000 has been received by the banlk in the form of advance subscriptions to the next war loan. The A.M.P. Society has lodged £250,000. and many other insurance offices and financial institutions have made substantial contributions. > All the amounts received will be applied to the next war loan, which, the Prime Minister. Mr Fraser, announced recently, will be issued laterin the year.
