CHURCH BAZAAR

HOLY CROSS, ST. KILDA The annual bazaar and sale of work conducted by the Holy Cross Church commenced in the Coronation Hall, St. Kilda, to-day, the opening ceremony being performed by the Mayor of St. Hilda (Mr J. J. Marlow). There was a fine selection of fancy work on sale at the various stalls, while amusements, competitions, and a cafeteria assisted in making the bazaar attractive. The Sunday school scholars and kindergarten youngsters will take part in sketches'and items to-night and to-morrow night. The various stallholders are: Work, Mesdames Grant and Lennox; fancy, Misses Mee and Dunstan; produce, Mesdames Hutchings and Diehl; sweets —Mesdames Glue, M'Kenzie, and Brent; children’s, Mesdames Cowie and Kiddie; Klondyke, Mrs Didduck and F. Dunstan; flowers, Misses Dora Carpenter and Mabel Grant; cafeteria, Mesdames Cummings and M’Kay; men’s, vestrymen; ice cream, Messrs S. Johnson’and S. Brent; Girls’ Club, leaders and girls; darts, senior boys. The bazaar, which is being held in aid of the church funds, will be continued tomorrow afternoon and evening.
