FUNDS IN VICINITY OF £750,001) (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 27. (Received September 28, at 1 p.m.) The Lord Mayor of London stated that £IOO,OOO of the money contributed to the Air Raid Fund had already been distributed-. The fund was now in the neighbourhood of £750,000.
The City of Durban, South Africa, sent another £14,851. bringing its total contribution to date to over £34,000. The sum of £25,000 was also received from the Mayor of Johannesburg.
