“FRONT LINE FIGHTERS”
WORKERS IN ARMS FACTORIES MINISTER'S INSPIRING MESSAGE (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 27. (Received September 28, at noon.) In a message to the workers in arms factories, Mr Herbert Morrison (Minister of Supply) says: ‘‘One of the greatest battles in the world’s' history is now being fought, not only between our own and the enemy’s air forces, but between the German air force and the men and women of Britain. “ I have the honour to lead one division of our civilian army the workers in the arms factories—and to them I issue this Order of the Day. You ara front-line fighters in the Battle for Freedom. More than that, you are the shock troops, for while the Nazi barbarians rain down their bombs on our people yours is the proud task o£, counter-attack.
“ Alone among the troops of oue civilian army you can do more tuan suffer and endure in grim patience—you can hit back. You are the men and women of whom Hitler is afraid, because your hands are forging the pons- of victory. Stand to your jobs and then victory will crown youi efforts.”
