GREEN ISLAND CLUB The annual meeting of tho above club was held on Monday night, the chairman (Mr M. Watson) presiding. Moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, tho Chairman congratulated the third grade team on being second in the championship table. He also congratulated Francis Barnes and Win. Broadbent on scoring centuries during the season, and I l '. Barnes on taking 78 wickets. Mr George Berry, in seconding the motion, said that tho club’s ci'edit balance was small owing to many outstanding subscriptions. The following office-bearers wore elected : —Patron : Mr -I. B. Orr j president, Mr I. M. Grant : vice-presidents —Messrs A. Berry, 0. Davies, T. Trevathan, C. N. Bell, W. Morland, J. P. S. Orr, Les. Griffon, A. Harm way, Geo. Gardiner, W. G. Wix, G. Orange, Win, Buchanan, E. Stewart, T. Anderson, J. 11. Grant; secretary, Mr ,L M. Grant; assistant secretary, Mr E. Talbot; treasurer, Mr M. Watson; committee— Messrs Francis Barnes, J. Lanauze, V. Short, M. Watson, E. Talbot, George Berry, A. Grant, and T. M. Grant; clnh captain and custodian, Mr AGrant; delegates to the Otago Cricket Association, Messrs T. M. Grant and E. Talbot; auditor, Mr J. A. Lindsay; selectors, two team captains and Mr George Berry. It was the opinion of tho mooting that the endowment scheme should ho dropped entirely. It was decided to present trophies for leading averages in both teams for the
coming season, and to arrange for matches with Timarn and Balelntha. The club’s opening day was fixed for October 5,
