SCHOOL COMMITTEES’ ASSOCIATION
Mr M. A. Robson presided at the monthly executive meeting of the School Committees’ Association of Otago. Applications for affiliation from Pino Hill, Wylie’s Crossing, and Papakaio Schools were granted. The Education Board notified that the Education Department would not agree to rents from halls and grounds being paid to special accounts. The resignation of Mr J. J. Prosser, Mosgiel, was received With regret, and Mr W. Cate, Mosgiel, was elected to fill the vacancy on the executive. All committeemen are invited to the next quarterly meeting, to be held in the Dunedin North Intermediate School on Thursday evening next, when Mr 0. H. E. Yates will give an address on intermediate schools. The Ravensbonrne Committee wrote requesting support in its efforts to obtain a residence for the head master. This matter is being taken up by the Education Department.
