A. Wycherley referred to the recent death of Mrs Torrance, mother of the club’s president (Mr R. C. Torrance). Mrs Torrance, who had lived to a ripe old age, had, said Mr Wycherley, endeared herself to all members of the club, of which she had been a loyal supporter and a regular attendant at the official opening for many seasons past.
