The Minister of Railways applied for an amendment to the department’s passenger service license on the DunedinTahakopa rout. It was desired to cut out existing double running on Saturdays and Sundays on the section between Dunedin and Balclutha in view of the reduction in the number of pas-, sengers.—Granted. A! M. Finnie, operator of the Dun-edin-Berwick service, applied for an amendment to his passenger license enabling him to cater, fully for all those travelling to and from the Taieri Air Force training station.—Granted. CONTINUOUS GOODS LICENSES. The Love Contraction Company Ltd. applied for a continuous goods service license in respect of three trucks to carry their own. goods.—Granted. E. J. O’Connell applied for a similar license to apply to one trudk, thus enabling him to handle biscuits manufactured by his firm.—Granted. W. Ellis applied for a continuous goods service license to enable him to carry lime and grain to farmers at Wakari and wool between Dunedin stores and wool scouring works at Kaikorai Valley.—Granted. AMENDMENT OF GOODS LICENSE. T. J. Finnie (Mosgiel) applied for an amendment to his goods service license enabling him to operate, within certain limits, beyond the existing exempted area-so that seasonal products could be conveyed direct by, him to Dunedin, which would necessitate an increase in the number of trips he was at present permitted to make to Dunedin.—The Authority reserved his decision. TRANSFER OF GOODS LICENSES. The following applications for the transfer of goods service licenses were heard:— Walker and Webster from Rutherford and Walker.—Granted. Agnes M'Carthy (Waihola) from the Estate of F. J. M'Carthy (Waihola). — Granted. Love Carrying Company Ltd.' (Port Chalmers) from Love Construction Company.—Granted. N. G. M'Kinnon from C. O’Connor. —Decision reserved. Watt’s Transport Ltd. from E. H. W. Lippert.—Decision reserved. RENEWAL OF GOODS LICENSES. Applicatiops from Watt’s Transport Ltd. and E. Frame and Co. (Palmerston) for renewal of goods service licenses were granted.
