VILLAGES AND CROPS DESTROYED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright TOKIO, September 11. The Domei News Agency report* that residents on the slopes of Mount* Asodake have hardly seen the sun since August 24. The volcano is almost constantly belching ashes, following a dormacy of 53 years. People carry raised umbrellas as a protection. Crops and 13 villages have been destroyed. ANOTHER UNWELCOME VISITATION TOKIO, September 11. (Received September 12, at 10 a.m.V A typhoon struck Western Kyushu, particularly Nagasaki, disrupting shipping schedules. The damage is at present unknown.
