OTAGO CLUB'S MEETING The fiftieth annual general meeting of the Otago- Lawn Tennis Club was held at the courts in Castle street on Saturday. There was a largo attendance of members, and the president (Mr J. H. Edmond) was in the chair. The annual report and balance sheet for the past season were adopted. The following office-bearers for the ensuing year were elected:—President, Mr J. H. Edmond; vice-presidents— Miss I. Hart, Miss D. Ramsay, and Mr E. G. Boddy; secretary, Mrs C. Roy Spackman; treasurer, Mr L. Nisbet; auditor, Mr AAL T. Monkman; committee—Mrs N. Buchanan, Misses D. Chrystall and S. Fitchett, Messrs H. S. Adams, H. Boddy, C. Stevens, J. Fulton, C. Robertson. The President congratulated the members of the A grade men’s team on winning the intcrcliib shield for the season. The following are the results of the club tournaments for the 1935-36 season: Ladies’ championship singles, Miss B. Ross; men’s championship singles, Mr E. G. Boddy; ladies championship doubles, Misses 1. Hart and D. Ramsay; ladies’ handicap singles, Miss M. Spackman; ladies handicap doubles, Misses B. Ross and M. Spademan. The President then declared the courts open for the season, and invited the members and their friends to be the guests of the committee at afternoon tea.
