Jim Furrier without difficulty retained his title of amateur golf champion of Australia when to-day in the final he beat the Victorian Alee Rae 9 and 8. Ferrier played magnificent golf. Since the last round of the open championship on Saturday he has not exceeded 73 for 18 holes. The professional final will be played to-morrow.
