WON BY MRS JACOBSEN [P*k United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, October 1. The final of the Auckland women's provincial golf championship, decided on the Middlemore links to-day, was won by Mrs C. N. Jacobsen (Akarana), who defeated Mrs P. E. Glanville (Glendowie) at the nineteenth. The loser was 3 up at the turn, but Mrs Jacobsen’s determination and experience were the deciding factors. The final of the Hutt women’s open golf championship was won by Mrs Slater, who defeated Mrs Harman 4 and 3. Mrs Slater played steady golf throughout and was two up at the turn. Her opponent did not display the form she showed in the earlier stages of the tournament, OTAGO LADIES' CLUB A. flag match for trophies presented by Mrs Breeze to honour Mrs Milne, who is leaving th© club, was played by members of the Otago Ladies’ Golf Club yesterday. Miss Cook won in the A grade and Mrs H. Walker, by reducing her handicap by two strokes, won the B grade.
