THE NEW CRUISER

FIRST SOUTHERN VISIT DUE HERE NOVEMBER 23 [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, September 23. The new cruiser Achilles will be moved from the stream and berthed to-morrow for public inspection. The cruiser will commence her first southern cruise on Saturday, November 7. She will arrive at Wellington on November 9, and leave on November 12. Her subsequent itinerary will be as follows: —Lyttelton, November 13 to November 17; Akaroa, November 17 to November 22; Dunedin, November 23 to November 26; New Plymouth, November 28 to December 1. The cruiser will return to Auckland on December 3.
