ATTEMPT THAT FAILED [Pee United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 19. A second attempt within recent weeks to burgle two safes on the premises of the Market Gardeners Limited, Wakefield street, was made this weeh. The intruders, who gained entrance hy forcing a window, plugged a safe with gelignite and washing soap. The explosions jammed the mechanism and the doors remained securely iastened. Even if the attempt had been successful the burglars would have fained nothing, as tho management oes not leave money on the premises at night.
