COMMUNITY SINGING

To-morrow’s community sing will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Messrs Puller-Hay ward), and another good programme is promised. The special item will be given by Mr E. Murphy, a member of the Otago Rugby team, who will play the mouthorgan. Members of the _ Wellington Rugby team have been invited, and it is hoped that they will attend. Mr H. P. Desmoulins is arranging another good programme of new and old numbers.. Mr Alf. Pettitt win be at the piano. Mrs M'lntyre, who is in charge of the stall, will be pleased to receive flowers, which always find a ready sale. Donations can be sent to Begg’s or the Strand Theatre. Next week the third £IOO will be handed to the mayor, and the proceeds of this sing are for the iflayor’s relief of distress fund.
