WHALING DISPUTE
SETTLEMENT IMMINENT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 14. _ The ‘ Daily Telegraph’s ’ diplomatic correspondent says a settlement of the whaling dispute is imminent. Norway, while maintaining the stand that there is necessity for certain restrictions in the whaling industry, will no longer oppose exceptions in favour of the Unilever and Salvesen companies. NOTES EXCHANGED. (Bi-itilh Official Wireless.) .RUGBY, September 14. (Received September 15, at noon.) A settlement within the next few days of the Anglo-Norwegian whaling dispute is expected. A Note was handed in by the Norwegian Charge d’Alfaires at the Foreign Office on Saturday and its contents are stated to be satisfactory, it is expected that this Note and the reply form part of the tinol terms of settlement.
