OMINOUS TURN

GERMAN MARTIAL SPIRIT ANTI-BOLSHEVIST CAMPAIGN Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 14. The ‘ Daily Telegraph’s ’ Nuremberg' correspondent says: “ The anti-Bol-shevilt campaign has taken a more ominous turn, and the martial spirit is frankly predominant.” The correspondent draws attention to the following passage in Herr Hitler’s speech: — “ When I call for a German demonstration it won’t be an undisciplined mob of 10,000 or 20,000, but millions and millions of men who will march in unbroken ranks.” The storm troop chief. General Lutz, responded: “Wo are united in hatred of the common enemy. We are not afraid, and we are prepared for everything. Only give us the command, Fuhrer, and we will obey.” FRENCH PRESS UNEASY PARIS September 14. The French Press continues to display uneasiness over the Nuremberg speeches. The ‘ Echo de Paris ’ declares : “ None must be deceived with regard to the reason for Herr Hitler’s anti-Bolshevik crusade. Bolshevism does not threaten the internal regime of Germany. Russia does not want war, and hasn’t common frontiers with Germany.’ Herr Hitler seeks to use international Fascism in the interests of German Imperialism. France will not tolerate his pretensions to dictate her foreign policy. She fears disciplined Prussianism more than Russia. At Nuremberg the last day of the congress was opened with a gigantic display of Germany’s armed might, SCO planes circling the sky, while 17,000 soldiers, naval detachments, tanks, and heavy artillery paraded on the Zeppelin field. The realism was heightened by the roar of artillery and incessant chatter of machine guns.”
