SOUTHLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS DUNEDIN ENTRANTS SCORE WELL Dunedin competitors had a good innings at the Southland table tennis championships, and, as in the previous year’s contests, secured a majority of the honours. The four semi-finalists in the men s G grade championship were Miller, Claridge, and G. Harrop, all of Dunedin, and S. Dobson, of Invercargill. In the final Miller defeated Harrop after a sustained contest. Mrs Ferguson again accounted for the women’s singles, and the men’s, doubles went to Claridge brothers, of Dunedin. The results of the finals were as follow: Men’s A Grade Championship.—Miller beat Harrop 16-21, 21-14, 21-8. Men’s Doubles _ Championship.Claridge and Claridge beat Robson and. Smith 17-21, 21-16, 21-18. Women’s A Grade Championship.— Mrs Ferguson beat Miss Croad 21-13. 21-13. Women’s Doubles Championship.— Meudaraes Croad and Colbert beat Mendames Ferguson and Robson. Combined Doubles Championship,— M'Bride and Miss M'Grath beat Ferguson and Mrs Ferguson 21-19, 22-20.
