RAYMER AND AITKEN ACCEPT

QUESTION OF TITLE [By Hooker.] The secretary of the Otago Boxing Association (Mr R. 0, Johnson) has had word from Ciarrie Rayner and Billy Aitken that they are prepared to meet at Dunedin on October 21. The only point at issue, however, is that Rayner had decided > to vacate his New Zealand feather-weight title the day before he heard from Otago, and it remains to be seen whether the New Zealand Boxing Council will give him permission, to take up the title he intended to vacate. If it does, the title will be at stake on October 21, and there is also a possibility of Rayner being matched later with Jack Jarvis, the New Zealand professional light-weight champion. Rayner has expressed his willingness to the Otago Boxing Association.
