BUSH BEATS WAIRARAPA

[Per United Press Association.! CARTEKTON, Juno 20. Bush defeated Wairarapa jit Carterton to-day by 8 points to 5. It was evidently Wairarapa’s unlucky day, lor it crossed the line seven times in the

first spell, either losing the ball or landing in touch in goal. There was no score till late in tho second spell, when the Bush backs started a rush which was carried on, Mahoney scoring in a good position. Udy converted. A few minutes later Booth was caught off-side under the goal, and Udy again kicked a goal. With ten minutes to go a brilliant hack movement by Wairarapa saw Booth score at the corner and dodge his way to the goal posts. Fitzgerald converted. Mr H. J. M’Kenzio was referee.
