WELLINGTON BEATS TARANAKI
A CLOSE FINISH [Ter United Press Association.] HAWERA, June 20. A try scored seven minutes before time gave victory this afternoon to the Wellington representatives, who registered 1J points with three tries (two converted) to Taranaki’s 11 points (two tries, one converted, and a penalty goal). Taranaki led 11-10 at half-time. The Wellington scorers were Barry (forward) two tries, Dollabnrca (forward) a try, and Griffiths (two conversions), while Ford (three-quarter) and Young (forward) scored tries for Taranaki, Collins, the full-back, converted a try and kicked a penalty goal.
