Herr Hitler, speaking for the first time after the Venice meeting, said: I* We hatched no plots about other natioiu, but I have taken care that nobody clse’s plots can destroy the German nation. Limitless as is our love Of peace, and little as Germany desires ■war, we shall also fanatically uphold German freedom and the honour of pur nation.’’ ■ ■
