CORRESPONDENCE
“ A.M.D.” (Gavcrsham) .—Undoubtedly your reception would be improved by the use of an outdoor aerial. Ail indoor aerial is screened by the roof and walls of the house, and a good deal of the volume from distant stations is lost, being absorbed' by the screen. An outdoor aerial will increase the volume of outside disturbances, but this will bo compensated for by increased volume from stations. It is as well to remember that height is one of the most important points to watch in erecting an aerial outside. The higher the aerial the less chance there will be of surrounding buildings tending to screen the wire*.
